AU CHARACTER NAME: Emperor Zarkon of Daibazaal
AGE: ~5000 years old

ROLE IN SETTING: Zarkon is the emperor of the Galra. The Galra are an Outlands lycan clan that have been corrupted by the Blight and are currently a strong pro-Nightfall faction. They are a very powerful technologically advanced race that are known for their aggressive territorial expansion.
AU BACKSTORY: Zarkon first ascended to the throne by rite of combat several millenia ago. He was initially a fair ruler though over the years became increasingly obsessed with the accumulation of power for himself and his people. According to ye olde legends, it is said that Zarkon had made a deal with a powerful Daemon that granted hiim immortality and power beyond his wildest imagination, but the costs associated with this Faustian deal were steep. The Galra were granted long lives, but were afflicted with the blight that caused their lycanthropy as well as the erosion of their minds over time. Their minds weren't meant to live that long, after all....
Zarkon in his current state is a shell of his former self. An automaton obsessed with might and conquest at the expense of all else.
Goals: As the Emperor of this proud lycan clan, Zarkon rules with an ironfist constantly seeking more power. He has made alliances with other pro-Nightfall factions including Daemons and Necromancers who seek the destruction of Earth in order to take its resources for themselves. Presently his goal is to dismantle Daybreak's fighting forces as outlined in the player plot.
POWERS:
1. Enhanced Strength -> This old man can probably punt a man across a stadium
2. Enhanced durability -> Like any good shonen jump animu character, he can take a good couple of hits without flinching
3. Black Lion summoning -> Zarkon has a bond with the Black Lion of Voltron and can command the mech to fight for him. Black lion wiki for additional info. Nerfs to the lion are as usual that they haven't unlocked the ability to fly them into space.
4. Mastery of multiple classes of weapons, most notably currently has control over a weapon called the Komar. The Komar is a cannon that has the ability to drain those targeted of their life force. It's a miracle of necromancy and technology, probably.
5. Lycanthropy -> Zarkon is able to turn into a massive black-purple wolf (roughly larger than a stallion) and in his wolf form is a lot more dangerous because it's kind of like a berserker mode.
OTHER NOTES: As discussed with Shini, I'll be using this journal as a general NPC journal for the Galran empire so there'll be a few sentry, druids and other faces on this journal that are more for variety than anything else. By the end of the plot I expect these other filler NPCs to be deda.
